Thank you for asking us. Top 20 percentile is criteria of JoSSA for taking admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs. Percentile indicates how many students have been outperformed by you. If your name is in top 20 percentile that means you are ahead of 80% of the people who appear in the JEE examination. Percentile can be calculated by the formula which is given below:
Percentile = No. of student have marks lesser than you / total no. of students appeared in the exam X 100.
